1. The cost is low


The ADI price is lower than that of forged steel, cast steel and cast aluminum, and the ADI is the cheapest material in terms of cost of yield strength.


2. Less density than steel


The ADI contains approximately 10 percent graphite in its tissues, so parts of the same volume are approximately 10 percent lighter than forged steel.


3. Excellent comprehensive performance


High strength and tensile ratio, excellent dynamic mechanical properties, much better than forged steel, cast steel, micro and king kong, fatigue resistance remains unchanged after millions of alternating loads. Because ADI notch sensitivity (sensitivity coefficient 2.2~2.4) was small, this was a favorable factor for improvement.


4. Good sound attenuation performance


The graphite in the ADI has a strong sound-absorbing capability, so the ADI parts work with little noise, which is very beneficial for automobiles and various other running machines.


5. Good shock absorption


ADI elastic modulus (E=1700MPa) is 20% lower than steel elastic modulus (E=2100MPa), so it has good shock absorption and graphite ball in the structure, which can quickly absorb vibration and make the motor parts run smoothly.


6. Good friction and wear resistance


For ADI of graphite ball, can reduce the friction coefficient and the operating temperature, ADI parts under the effect of surface stress, the austenite high carbon austenite is part of the transformed into microcrystalline or microcrystalline austenite, can improve the surface hardness, improving wear resistance, surface and the new times and the above process, compared with the same hardness of steel, so its middle-late higher service life.


7. Austempering ADI of ductile iron can be obtained by heat treatment


ADI can be produced by adding a two-stage isothermal treatment process on the basis of general nodular cast iron (chemical composition, smelting method, injection treatment, casting process, etc.). Heat treatment gives it high mechanical properties, while retaining the benefits of the original casting technology, such as the ability to manufacture complex shapes of parts, the ability to reuse materials, low production costs, batch production, etc., in many cases, it can replace steel or aluminum parts. Its advantages include:

8. Diversity of casting processes


In addition to ductile iron commonly used clay sand, resin sand, water glass and other modeling. In order to meet the needs of casting, there are also lost mold casting process, V method casting process, etc., so that the development of ADI casting like a tiger add wings, there are also metal mold casting and metal mold sand casting according to the solidification characteristics of nodular cast iron. In summary, the ADI is produced in a variety of casting processes, depending on the characteristics of its castings to be produced.
