For automotive engine castings, the refractory coating has a very important effect on the actual castings. It can improve the surface roughness of the castings, thereby improving the performance of the engine and extending the maintenance interval of modern internal combustion engines. These improvements help to meet the environmental requirements of Euro 6 and future Euro 7 regulations.
The new Fusco line of "internal cleaning" coatings will help foundries meet growing quality requirements for the next generation of internal combustion engines that reduce emissions and improve performance. A comparison of the castings produced by traditional coatings and new coatings is shown in the figure below. After casting, the coating usually forms a ceramic shell that breaks into flakes during shakeout and further cleaning operations. These flakes can form carriers of residual fine particles that adhere to the surface of the casting. Newly developed engineering treated coatings, after pouring, The following figure shows that the newly developed coating layer can remove almost all residual paint particles, leaving a very clean cast surface.
The main advantages of New Type of Foundry Coatings SEMCO IC:
Reduce the residual dirt in the inaccessible parts of the engine ( cylinder head and cylinder block);
Reduce rework and clean-up costs;
Improve the performance of the engine;
Extended maintenance cycle;
CO2Emissions;
Cooling impurities in the circulation system.
